Peruana de nacimiento, estudia en Australia y reside en República Dominicana, actualmente en España.

Estudia en Australia en la Escuela de Arte Brisbane.

Estudia Sicología en República Dominicana.

En el año 2000 es cuando en realidad comienza su carrera como artista plástica, pasión de toda su vida.

My inspiration is the energy of the here and now, that is why I paint only on bright sunny days. My painting is highly intuitive and receptive, a joyful and childlike process of exploration and discovery. I start by placing the blank canvas on the floor without a previous idea or sketch. I paint in a squating or kneelling position, moving all around it, enjoying each brushstroke and concentrating exclusively on the small area below the brush.

Susie Gadea was born in 1953, in Lima, Peru, in a bicultural family that encouraged her artistic inclinations and sense of global-citizenship. In 1969 she moved to Australia where she studied graphic design at the Brisbane School of Art.

In 1978, she settled in the Dominican Republic where she worked as an independent design and communications consultant, obtaining local and international recognition. In 1999 she received a degree in psychology, discipline which furthered her understanding of herself and others. Her inclination to transpersonal psychology complemented her philosophical and metaphysical interests, which have strongly influenced her understanding of reality. The year 2000 marked a period of inner search and adjustment of her goals which lead her to focus on artistic self-expression, her live-long passion.

Shortly after her first solo exhibit in Santo Domingo in 2001, she closed her design studio in order to devote her time to painting, sculpture and writing. In 2004 she had a second solo exhibit in La Romana, and a year later moved to Madrid in order to further her personal quest through art.

Her artistic production is her way of connecting with sensitive fibers in other people and promoting a personal contact with our eternal inner being. Her work is part of private collections in the United States, Spain, Austria, Korea, Australia, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay and the Dominican Republic.
